Simple Machine Inventions

From November to the first week of January, students have been learning about simple machines. As a culminating activity, student are asked to invent a compound machine using a minimum of 3 of the simple machines. In addition to the invention, they have to create a presentation for their invention. The presentation can be a power point, a video commercial, or a video diary. Paper Towel Test- A challenge for Viva, Scott, Brawny & Bounty!



We conducted a test to find out which paper towel was the strongest paper towel, ViVa, Scott, Brawny Or Bounty. We used this exercise to practice using the triple beam balance and to get use to the concept of mass. As expected, the results varied but the enthusiasm was off the roof.
